A Louisiana native, Dr. Spann graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisiana and subsequently earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, having completed a full five years of general surgery at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. He was continually acknowledged as performing at a high clinical and academic level. This was evident by his average score of 97th percentile on the American Board of Surgery In-service exam – having the highest national score in several of those years.

Dr. Spann continued his academic pursuit by completing a fully accredited residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Nebraska. He received numerous accolades while training in the prestigious Creighton and Nebraska Medical centers. Fostering a substantial interest in the field of aesthetic surgery during his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Spann graduated with an unparalleled experience in face, nose, and breast cosmetic surgery. Additionally, he has presented to and participated in numerous national meetings, courses, and lectures. He is the author of over a dozen scientific papers and national presentations, including those to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Aesthetic Reconstruction in Children and Adults annual meetings.

Personally, he is a proud father to two children and devoted husband to his wife. His interests, while extensive, primarily include golf and private piloting. As a person native to the Midsouth, he takes great pride and pleasure in now calling Arkansas his home. Bringing with him a world-class training.
